Requirements

• YOU MUST WATCH THE DEMOS!

• 3 pictures of sea-life that you will use to inspire your work. (Note: you will use submit these pictures next to your work) due on Day 1 of studio time. 3 (Your mork MUST emulate nature--NOT other people’s artwork!) So your required inspiration photos must be from nature and your work must show a correlation.) Remember the “Biomimicry” is a big part of this unit! 

• Must be at least 4” in one direction

• Roughly 1 to 1.5 pounds of clay minimum (small orange or large orange in size of clay) 

• 3 forms using the pinch method 

• Each form MUST resemblance each corresponding picture.

• Each form must have hanging holes or flat slab backing with keyhole slot

• This is not a cup, pot or planter, as I would like you to build from an upside down pinch pot 

• Each form MUST be clean and refined, take your time!

• Unit length, 2 weeks.  

You can and must,

Add clay, pinch clay, coil clay, roll slabs, impress, imprint clay, etc. Think about how you can use the skills you know to achieve the desired outcome.
