Week 9

Task 1 - Mathematics: Problem Solving Challenges

Task 2 - English

Take a look at the selection of story starters below. Can you choose one of the openers and continue the story?

Task 3 - Science: What causes day and night?

For your science task this week, we would like to investigate how day and night occurs on planet Earth. Use the links below to research day and night on Earth and explain how it works using text and a diagram.

Task 4 - Geography: How does the water cycle work?

This week, we would like you to learn about the water cycle: what is it and how does it work? We would then like you to draw a detailed diagram of the water cycle, including clear labels to explain what is happening at each stage. Your diagram should be hand drawn and completed in colour, if possible.

Once you have finished your diagram, write a paragraph below it to answer the question: How does the water cycle work? This should describe each stage of the water cycle in more detail and clearly explain what is shown on your diagram.

We have included some links to useful resources to help you get started but you may also choose to complete your own independent research.
