What makes NJS great?

Year 5 & 6 Expedition - Summer 2020

Guiding Question: What makes NJS great?

Welcome Year 5 and 6 to your summer term expedition: What makes NJS great? In these unusual times, we thought it would be great to finish the year with a reflection of your experiences at Norton Junior School. For Year 6, you will soon be leaving us and we would love to capture some of your fondest memories and personal reflections of your time with us. This work will culminate in a booklet containing poetry, artwork and other forms of learning that will be given to pupils who are new to the school to let them know what a wonderful place NJS is to be. We hope you enjoy the weekly tasks that you will be able to find by clicking the 'Home Learning' tab on this website and look forward to seeing the beautiful work that you create.

As this work will be published in a booklet, we would like you all to complete at least two of these tasks each week to a good standard. This may mean completing a draft or practice version first before completing in best and either emailing to your teacher or sharing via Google Suite.

In addition to expedition tasks, we will also continue to provide arithmetic tests and reading comprehensions which can be found in 'Additional Tasks' on the Home Learning tab.

We hope to see you all very soon!
