Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training includes an Introduction and a Refresher course

Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

GCP is the international ethical, scientific and practical standard to which all clinical research is conducted. 

Compliance with GCP provides public assurance that the rights, safety and wellbeing of research participants are protected and that research data are reliable.

To access GCP training, please go to the NIHR Learn website. 

If you have not registered before, select ‘create new account’.  If you already have an account, click ‘log in’ then type in your username (this should be your email address) and password.  If you have forgotten your password, click ‘forgot your password’; you will receive an Email to enable you to re-set your password and log in.

Once logged in, on the home page click 'CRN Learning' then as follows:

Good Clinical Practice eLearning / select either Introduction to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) eLearning or Refresher / scroll down to see all the modules.  Once you have completed all modules you will be able to download your certificate.

GCP Consolidation Workshops available

This 3 hour workshop is designed to consolidate the key learning from the certificated Introduction to GCP e-learning on NIHR Learn. 

We are offering both  virtual and face to face consolidation workshops to those who have completed the Introduction to GCP e-learning in the past 18 months.

Researchers can apply via CRN East of England Locally Delivered Learning on NIHR Learn, here is the direct link.

Please note: THE CONSOLIDATION WORKSHOP DOES NOT PROVIDE CERTIFICATED FULL GCP TRAINING. 

NIHR learn is a national resource used to access dozens of NIHR and non-NIHR funded training, easily and online. It is also home to online chat communities and the national learning directory. 

Most of our training is hosted on NIHR Learn. To access this resource you will need to log in at learn.nihr.ac.uk with your NIHR Learn account details.
