Campaigns
Shape the Future
The NIHR national campaigns group delivered two campaigns to celebrate the NHS 75th birthday. The 2 Shape the Future campaigns ran between May and July to encourage everyone to take part in research, and in November to ask all health and care professionals to add research to their careers.
The NIHR national campaigns group works with stakeholders, NIHR infrastructure and Regional Delivery Networks to create and promote campaigns that prioritise engagement and aim to create behavioural change.

Join Dementia Research
Join Dementia Research is a service which allows people to register their interest in participating in dementia research and be matched to suitable studies - like a matchmaking service.
The service is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care and is delivered by the NIHR in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, Alzheimer's Research UK and Alzheimer's Society.
We encourage all members of staff to sign up to Join Dementia Research as a volunteer, help to promote the service, and to think about how it can integrate with work you are doing.
A few facts:
Volunteers register their interest in taking part in dementia research by creating a Join Dementia Research account.
Anyone over the age of 18 can sign up. However we particularly encourage people with dementia or carers for people with dementia to consider registering.
Approved researchers upload information about their study to Join Dementia Research.
The system matches registered volunteers to studies they might be suitable for, based on the information they have provided.
Researchers get in touch with volunteers who match the study criteria to explain more about the study.
While most people register online, they can also choose to sign up over the phone or by post.
Volunteers decide whether they would like to participate in the studies they match to on a case-by-case basis, with no obligation.
