We are the Industry Team in the East Midlands

The Industry Team at the East Midlands CRN supports the delivery and growth of NIHR commercial research portfolio in the region.

We support the Life Sciences Industry, Clinical Research Organisations (CRO's) and Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's) to maximise research opportunities in our region. We also work with our NHS Partner Organisations and organisations from other settings to develop their commercial research portfolio and offer tailored support and guidance.

Working with Life Sciences, Clinical Research Organisations and Small to Medium Enterprises

We provide a range of support to help you plan your clinical study or trial, tailored to your study needs.
We give expert advice and guidance to help you understand the landscape in the East Midlands and help you design inclusive and impactful research.
We facilitate introductions to a range of our Partner Originations and specialty leads.
A designated Performance Review Lead will be allocated to you to maintain oversight of study recruitment and work with your team to enable the study to recruit to time and target to achieve the goals and outcomes of the research question.

Working with NHS Partner Organisations and Partners from other Settings

We offer tailored support to help you grow your commercial portfolio.
We run regular workshops of different aspects on the Commercial Studies Pathway.
We have a Commercial Studies Pathway with links to research delivery resources.
The NIHR CRN works alongside other regions and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to deliver RESET.
We can support you with National Contract Value Review implementation.
