This article will introduce the main FTC vendors. These companies change all the time so please add on if you want to. Each company usally has their own specialty but there are some companies that are good at multiple things. We will go over all the companies and understand why they are useful
McMaster-Carr sells anything, literally. Just ask Mr. Coburn for the catalog and you will understand. We buy our hardware from McMaster-Carr. This includes polycarb, nuts, and bolts. besides that we do not buy mush from McMaster-Carr.
GoBilda is a major vendor in the FTC market. GoBilda sells almost anthing you could want on an FTC robot. They sell batteries, slide kits, motors, and wheels. Many of the top FTC team use GoBilda parts because they ar mostly mad from aluminum or steel making the strong and durable. They make high uality products that help evey team out.
Rev is another one of the major ventors in FTC. They currently are the exclusive vendors of the FTC Control Hubs and FTC Driver Stations. Rev also sells servos and motors. For stuture parts they sell aluminum t-slot bars. They are also one of the four comanies that have legal FTC batteries. Rev has unfortunatly not updated there hardware and they have not been selling very high quality and durable products
Swyft is not mention on the side but they do make good linear slide kits. All three of these companies sell slides that are used in FTC. These slides roll very well and are important on every robot. Misumi makes a wide range of the these slides with different stages and sizes. As of the time that I am writing this we have not bought any products from Misumi or BWTLink but have hd great success with swyft.
Axon is the most simple vendor on this list. They only sell two products. the Axon Max and the Axon Mini. These products are both Servos. These are not normal servos becaause they are high quality servos that are made from stainless steel.
We do not but products from andy mark a lot. But they make the tape that goes on the field. They also sell a large variety of mechanical products that are made from metals
Sparkfun is a electronics company that makes stuff that is not used in FTC. Thay are most known for making the raspberry pi but that is only legal in FRC. For FTC the most notable product is their optical odometry laser. We also use their XRP robots in some of our outreach events.
Anything that is not sold from all the previous vendors we buy on amazon. this includes PLA, drill bits, and pit decor.
