This article is about how important Media is to robotics
What is Media?
What is Media?
Media is alot more than taking pictures. We have alot of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube where we upload the lastest things the robotics team has been up to through videos and photos. Media is the main form we document events that we host, run, and volenteer at. These are screen shots of all of the social media platforms. Note that all social media platforms are with the same logo and similar usernames. This is to minimize confusion and to keep all usernames consistant. It is also a tool we use to make our team known to the broader FIRST community.

As breifly mentioned above Media is the way we document but what does that actually mean? In the event of confusion or where there has been an event where we missed who went to the event and what we did we will have photos and videos to refference back to. It is to verify certain points we missed but also to see how engaged and involved the participants were. Media is a great tool to use to see how the overall event was run and jog a few memories!

Media takes place at events we host, run, and volenteer at but it also takes place at competitions we go to. This way we have a good sense on what the robot looked like that year as well as we get good photos of the pit crew, drive team, and everyone cheering in the stands. These photos are helpful to have when people have questions on what competitions is like.
