Google Earth is a website and app that allows you to see the entire globe virtually. Users can search for any place on Earth by simply typing in an address or key word. Users can also take virtual tours and see historical places in the past.
1. To begin using Google Earth, first you need to download the app to your phone or go to www.google.com/earth. Once you download the app or open the website page, click "Launch Google Earth" in the center of your screen.
2. Click and hold a spot on the globe to move around. Scroll with you mouse to either zoom in or zoom out another option for scrolling in or out is to click the "+" and "-" sign on the screen. You can search for the location you are looking for manually or by typing in the name or address in

5. Continue to get comfortable with Google Earth by searching for other places and switching the views. When you find a place you would like to be able to get back to quickly, save in it in "My Places."
6. If you are feeling adventurous or want a new place to visit, click The small square on the far left column of the screen labeled "I'm Feeling Lucky." By clicking this, Google Earth will take you to a random place.
7. An easy way to return to the the entire globe view is to click the globe in the lower right corner of the screen.

No, you will not be able to see people by looking up places using Google Earth. I you select "Street View" you will see images of people, but their faces will be blurred for privacy.
