In our Module 2, Sun, Moon, and Stars, 1st Graders have been studying the sun, moon, and stars through narrative texts and understanding how and why the sun, moon, and stars inspire authors.  During these read alouds, 1st graders answered text dependent questions, completed a Story Elements board to track the elements of the text such as characters, setting, and events from the beginning, middle, and end. 1st graders also participated in role-playing parts of the stories to make better sense of what they are reading.
