CAS Presents: Tanglewood Marionettes

On Wednesday, May 1st, 1st Graders enjoyed a spectacular and engaging performance of The Dragon King. “A terrible drought has overtaken the land, and all the world has turned brown and lifeless. The Dragon King is ruler over all things water, and the people are beginning to wonder why he has not brought the life-giving rains in such a very long time.” 1st Graders were mesmerized by the colorful sea creatures especially the squid and Dragon King!

A terrible drought has overtaken the land.

Grandmother shares the story of the Dragon King.

Grandmother sets off on a journey to find the Dragon King to bring water and life back to the land.

While on her journey, Grandmother meets a fisherman and an enchanted fish who will grant Grandmother three wishes!

Grandmother wishes to be able to breathe underwater so she can find the Dragon King! She meets a friendly, helpful crab who tells Grandmother the story of the Penguin and the Seagulls.

Crab uses their 'snippers' to snip Grandmother free from the seaweed and helps Grandmother find the Dragon King's Kingdom.

The Dragon King has lost what?!?!?

Grandmother meets Squid who is just looking for some friends!

The Squid has found the Pearl! How will Grandmother bring the Pearl back to the Dragon King?

Grandmother has returned from her journey and so has the long awaited rain!

Where will Grandmother's next adventure take her?
