Build a Word

This week, 1st Graders practiced a new Word Work activity, Build a Word! Students work with a partner to practice reading and spelling current Fundations words. One partner picks a word from the list, both partners echo, tap, and spell the word onto their magnet boards. The second partner spells the word and the first partner checks it. Both partners tap back the sounds they used and switch roles.
