Director of Instruction and Coordinator of Title 1 and Title III
I have the pleasure to serve as the Director of Instruction for Nelson County Public Schools. My work as an educator for the past 29 years includes eleven years of teaching in Campbell County and eighteen years as an administrator in Nelson County.
My experiences have included teaching students in first through fourth grade, serving as an Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Elementary Instruction, and Director of Instruction. In addition, I have written and published work for Educational Research Services and worked as a master reviewer for the Princeton Review Publishing Company. I was recognized as Young Careerist of the Year by the Women's Professional Business Club in 2000.
I currently serve on multiple committees for local colleges (including at my alma mater Lynchburg College~University of Lynchburg), and educational agencies. I have expanded my advocacy for students and am currently in training to become a CASA volunteer (court-appointed special advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect). I am committed to quality education for ALL students and work to protect our greatest resources for our future- our children!
