Hi! My name is Crystal Grubbs and I am the K-2 Reading Specialist at Tye River Elementary School. This is my 16th year teaching in Nelson County. Prior to being a Reading Specialist, I taught Kindergarten for 8 years and Second Grade for 2 years. I love working with the students and families of the TRES community.

I am a graduate of Lynchburg College, where I received my undergraduate degree as well as my master's degree. I received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (PK - 6) with a Minor in Psychology and a Masters of Education in Reading (K - 12).

In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, and shopping. I love to travel and make memories with my family.
