Teaching is my passion, I decided to become a teacher because I decided to partake in the construction of a better world and, certainly, I see Catholic/Christian education as a means towards producing a "noble character" in the future citizens of our society.
It means to have the opportunity to empower my identity as a Latina educator as well as develop my leadership skills to respond the call to represent and lead in my school community.
Father Alberto Hurtado is a Catholic figure who inspires me because of his resiliency and determination to overcome personal obstacles in his life, the many similarities/connections between my life in Chile and his, and his compromise to serve the excluded.
