Why are you passionate about Catholic education?
Catholic education allows me to create bonds with my students not only about things that we like in life, but also about our faith. It is very important to me to show to my students that they are all loved by me just how God loves all of us.
What does being a LEAD Fellow mean to you?
What does being a LEAD Fellow mean to you?
Being a LEAD fellow will allow me to be part of the small percentage of Latina woman in leadership. Although we see that teaching is a female dominated career, there is an imbalance we see in the lack of female Latina leadership in administration because we see that males make up the majority of the administrative leadership positions. Being a part of LEAD will allow me to create these connections with other LatinX community members and grant me the support I need to further my career in leadership.
Who is a saint/spiritual figure who inspires you?
Who is a saint/spiritual figure who inspires you?
A Saint who inspires me is Saint Jude. I was going through a devastating crisis a couple months ago and asked for Saint Jude's intersection because my mom was battling cancer. Saint Jude inspired my ability to seek hope in prayer.
