As Latina herself, Mayra is passionate about empowering Latino families through education. Since 2011, she has been leading the Latino Outreach Initiative. In this role, Mayra provides ongoing, strategic support to Catholic schools in Latino recruitment and enrollment efforts. Among other things, Mayra works strategically as a resource to breach the cultural and linguistic barriers to reach out to the Latino population, while creating partnerships with other organizations serving the Latino community.
