Hello NCA Families! Below are activities that will be updated weekly on Wednesday, as well as, computer programs that we use in computers.

Students use Typing Agent in 2nd through 5th grade to practice keyboard foundations, digital citizenship, and typing games.

Visit Code.org to practice your coding skills! Code.org is a free website where students practice the coding languages, Blockly and JavaScript. This website has lessons for Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Students may also login to their personal code.org website and complete coding activities within their account. Go to the following links to sign-in to your code.org account. (Login information was provided on the Tech Login information sheets sent out earlier this year)
K-5 Technology is an awesome tool we use in computers to practice grade level specific computer skills. K-5 Technology is used throughout all grade levels in Elementary school.

Keyboard: used to input letters, numbers, and symbols
Mouse: controls the cursor on the screen
Cursor: pointer on the screen that is controlled by the mouse
Printer: a machine that prints images and text on a piece of paper
Blockly: coding language that uses blocks
Debug: finding and fixing problems in coding
Loop: multiple lines of code that occur over and over again
Browser: an application that allows a person to access the internet
