Definition
Definition
A subcommittee of Southern California Region (SCR) of Nar-Anon Family Groups (NFG).
Following the Twelve Traditions of the Nar-Anon Family Groups, the Twelve Concepts of Service of the Nar-Anon Family Groups, and the Southern California Regional Guidelines.
Purpose
Purpose
To open and maintain lines of communication between the Southern California Regional Outreach Subcommittee and the areas and groups it serves (Concepts 1 and 8).
To open and maintain lines of communication between the public and the Southern California Region so that the message of recovery is available to family members of addicts (Concepts 5 and 8).
To carry this message in accordance with the Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of Nar-Anon Family Groups (Concept 12).
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
To serve the groups and areas in their outreach efforts by providing available resources such as funds, guidance, literature, training, and people to assist (Concepts 2, 4, and 11).
To provide structure and a point of accountability that will assist the groups and areas in effective outreach activities (Concepts 3 and 9).
To facilitate the presentation of outreach requests from the areas and groups to the Southern California Region (Concepts 6, 7, 9, and 10).
