. The Regional Delegate duties include:
§ Attend monthly phone call meeting with other regional officers.
§ Attend quarterly regional assemblies with the regional officers and group service representatives.
§ Work with the Alternate Delegate so that the Alternate Delegate can serve as the Delegate if the need should arise.
§ Help groups learn about the motions for the 2020 World Service Conference once those motions are made available to us for review.
§ Collect and tabulate votes from the groups in the SCR.
§ Attend a week long World Service Conference (WSC) in April 2020 in Torrance, CA. The conference typically starts on Thursday and runs through to the following Tuesday. Delegates are assigned rooms in the hotel so they can start early, work late, and have time to meet other members from all over the world. All expenses for the conference are paid for by the region.
§ At the WSC:
§ Vote as recommended by the votes from the groups in the SCR
§ Work with the other delegates to make corrections and adjustments to the motions and literature.
§ Seek guidance from Higher Power and others at the WSC.
§ Vote your conscience to strive for the best interests of the Nar-Anon fellowship.
§ Report to the region and groups on the results from the WSC.
The delegate and alternate delegate are encouraged to join a World Service Committee
