Meetings were temporarily suspended due to several reasons which included waiting for approval of the SoCal Narateen Guidelines from World Service, establishing a background check procedure and the COVID-19 crisis.

Create and launch a new Narateen fellowship for the SoCal region. This will include:
Researching all local laws and regulations that concern organizing support groups for minors
Develop a comprehensive guide for Narateen volunteer Facilitators
**(NEW)** At the June 2019, the SoCal Narateen Committee voted unanimously to approve the newly drafted, Southern California Region Guidelines for Narateen ... it is now pending approval from SoCal Assembly at the next RSC regional meeting.
Develop and maintain an application and approval process for proposed new Narateen groups
Assist in organizing regularly scheduled Narateen meetings within the SoCal region. This will include:
Assist with application requests for new meetings
Recruit, train and supervise Narateen adult Facilitators on an ongoing basis to ensure that standards and requirements are followed
Work with the Outreach Committee to help develop Narateen awareness within the Nar-Anon fellowship and to the general public
Coordination with the World Service Narateen Committee
Attend Nar-Anon or Narateen group meetings regularly
A working knowledge of Nar-Anon's 12 Steps, Traditions and Concepts of Service
Ability to work independently and as a team member; make suggestions; be flexible in the decision making process; and complete assignments within deadlines
Be available to attend scheduled committee meetings using the technology pre- determined for such meetings
At least one Facilitator or member from each Narateen group will serve on the committee.
The Narateen subcommittee shall update the safety guidelines and other documentation as needed and present a motion for assembly approval when required.
Submit a yearly budget proposal to the region.
Refer to the NTPP the names of interested Facilitators who have communicated with the committee and appear committed to supporting a Narateen meeting.
Support existing group members and Facilitators.
Support outreach and new group formation.
At least one Narateen committee member or Facilitator will also serve on the SoCal Outreach Subcommittee to facilitate the inclusion of Narateen in all outreach efforts.
Support Narateen participation in local Nar-anon conventions.
Work to design and maintain a facilitator training program.
Assign experienced Facilitators to mentor new Facilitators.
