Membership in the Red River High School Athletic Hall of Fame consists of athletic letter winners, coaches, and those who have made significant contributions in the field of athletics.  

To be considered, the nominee shall be a former Red River student-athlete who made a significant impact while competing for the Roughriders. A period of ten years must have elapsed since the nominee last participated in athletics at Red River High School. Post-high school achievements will also be considered when determining eligibility. 

Coaches will be considered after two years have elapsed following active coaching service at Red River. Coaches are considered on the basis of leadership, length of coaching career, quality of coaching record, program growth, and achievements of the individual after leaving coaching service.  

A special Hall of Fame category is reserved for people who have made significant contributions to the athletic programs at Red River High School outside of performance as an athlete or coach.
