Hi, I'm an English major with a minor in Psychology. I am also a genderfluid person that is pansexual. I wanted to use this opportunity and my love of writing to be able to create some stories for the LGBTQ+ community. The stories may or may not put you through an emotional rollercoaster but that's half the fun.
A human man and an adult male dragon who can shapeshift into a human are placed in a situation where they are forced to be co-parents. Together they, along with their child, must take their first family vacation. A 2-day trip to somewhere safe for them all. A slow-burn gay romance that's so slow they don't even realize it.
With the sun away the immortals come out to play. Not being able to go out often in fear of the sun burning one of them away they’re now able to spend time together outside. They decided to have a picnic in the graveyard while they talked about their past and future. But the thing about the future is that no matter the planning it’s always unpredictable. A lesbian romance that is sickeningly sweet for a good chuck, if not all, of it.
10 years ago a young 21-year-old man almost overnight finds himself becoming a single father. His fatherly instinct kicks in as soon as he finds a sick little girl sleeping in his barn. His decision to take care of her changes his life for the better and they become a family. A family that is always growing and changing. An asexual story that is focused on family love, obviously.

Quotes/Excerpts:
"If he had just gotten back home and saw someone, who clearly broke in, holding one of his prized possessions he’d be pissed too. Maybe not ‘I’m ready for murder’ pissed but still pissed."
"All they do is lie and cheat. I will not waste a second by trying to talk to him because I know nothing I say will sway his greedy heart. No, in this situation the only thing that matters is actions. Words are for the weak and my actions will remind him that our kind is anything but."
Quotes/Excerpts:
“That's true. Can’t forget about the beauty that was collecting grave dirt, flowers of the dead, crow feathers, and whatnot. Who, not only was collecting all that, also used her magic to summon the old lasses ghost so that I could give her a proper tongue lashing. HA, we must have been a sight for sore eyes that night.”
"Emery and the crowd all start laughing. But all I hear is ringing as I stare at Aurora.… How could they do this? How could they treat us like this? Aurora like this? She’s done nothing wrong and yet and yet and yet and yet and yet and yet and yet and yet and y-""
Quotes/Excerpts:
“Listen little one we don’t mean to be mean or anything but you are pretty cute”, the rabbit lets out an insulted sound, ”And sorry about the semi-rude introduction. We were just curious about who's been snacking on our carrots. We don’t mean you any harm.”
"Why is he being so nice? He shouldn’t be. The others weren’t. They were all being so mean to me and calling me names. Like a monster or demon. I don’t like those names, they sound scary. But they said my name, Eva, wasn’t fit for a creature like me. Would he agree?"
Reflection
For my Capstone project, I choose to write these stories because even though more queer stories are being made it is still a constant battle for that to happen. If it's not that then it is studies or companies telling creators who want to tell these stories that they can't or even threatening to cancel the whole thing if they go through with giving even just one main character a queer plot line. Which sometimes results in shows getting canceled early, queerbaiting, or a random side or background character being queer in hopes of at least getting some representation. So even though it's just for Capstone I thought why not take the chance to make some positive queer representation of my own. Just like other forms of media, it had its flaws but I hope that regardless of who reads it it will fill them with some joy and excitement.
While writing these stories it was an interesting process. I kept having to switch my mindset with each one since they all, hopefully, give off different feels and the characters are all different from one another. It was like having to turn on and off a specific switch for each one. It kept me on my toes because I would go from writing a romantic sense for "Immortals Date Night Out" to writing a scene from the perspective of a sad child in "Family Shaped Love". So in those instances, I really had to make sure that I was keeping the stories separate from one another. Writer's block was interesting too because sometimes when I got it I couldn't write whatever story I was writing at that moment. So I was luckily able to put my attention to one of the other two. Until writer's block hit me for all three and then I was stuck. Overall it was an enjoyable experience that pushed me as a writer. It made me realize how much I enjoy being able to tell stories and write dialogue for my characters. It's an experience I will always hold onto and look at fondly.
