Afternoons at Horeb Springs Aquatic Center! 

(Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Afternoon - weather permitting.)

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons, the Elementary students travel by city bus to the pool. Students eat lunch a little early on these days, have a solid hour and forty-five minutes of swimming (wearing brightly colored, non identifying t-shirts) before returning to school in time for the 3:00 pm pick up. At least 1 adult per 10 children serve as chaperones.

Students change into their swimming suits at school and sunscreen is applied before each child is provided a brightly colored shirt to wear.  Swimmers bring their own towels, sun hats, water bottles etc.  Children need to pass the lifeguard’s swim test to go in the deep end.
