Every year we must complete required training in order to be ready to handle a variety of difficult situations in schools. In general, these are required either by Delaware statute or by the Federal Government. Completing training is a required condition for employment by MOT Charter School. More importantly, if during your entire working career, you are able to positively impact a single child because of these trainings, it is worth the hours we spend every August.
Most required training can be accessed in PDMS. Please see the list below for details on what training you are required to take this year.
IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST YEAR WORKING IN A DELAWARE PUBLIC SCHOOL (including teaching, custodial/maintenance staff, cafeteria/CFNS, financial, IT, OR ANY OTHER student support services) AND/OR YOU DID NOT COMPLETE ALL THE MANDATORY TRAININGS LAST YEAR, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE NEW EMPLOYEE COURSE
Course #43731 Non-Academic Mandatory Training (NAMT): New Employee
IF YOU TAUGHT IN A DELAWARE PUBLIC SCHOOL LAST SCHOOL YEAR (Traditional or Charter) AND COMPLETED ALL THE DIFFERENT TRAININGS, YOU ONLY NEED TO COMPLETE THE SUICIDE PREVENTION COURSE
Course #43729 Non-Academic Mandatory Training (NAMT): Suicide Prevention
THE APPLICABLE ABOVE TRAINING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS
Also, and I will send out additional information specific to these in more targeted emails:
Everyone should have gotten (or will receive) an email from eSecurity@delaware.gov for the CyberSecurity training. That should be done before January 7.
Course #30801 Cyber Security Training: KnowBe4
Any staff that is responsible for or helping with any level of state testing will need to complete test security assurances. You do not have to complete the below training if you are not involved with state testing
