Social Event Teams (SET) are a group of student volunteers formed in MRS residences where a Hall Society has not been established. If a Hall already has a Hall Society, a SET is not required.
In residences with a SET, the team plays a key role in enhancing community life by:
Supporting RAs and the Residential Life team in organising events such as Hall Balls, SWOT VAC Dinners, Suppers and Dine In nights.
Creating leadership and engagement opportunities for all residents.
Offering residents hands-on experience in event promotion and management.
Collaborating closely with Residential Life Coordinators.
Providing an alternative leadership pathway for residents, potentially serving as an early entry point into leadership roles.
SET members work behind the scenes to support community connection
