Becoming a member of the FLP does not replace the need to apply for accommodation at MRS.
To live on-campus next year, apply for accommodation as soon as applications open at 9am on 1 September 2025. We encourage you to set a reminder to ensure you apply on time. You will also receive email reminders closer to the date. Applying is not the same as receiving and accepting an offer for accommodation. You are not locked into any contract for the following year.
As a nominee for the Future Leadership Pool, you have a unique opportunity to grow your leadership skills and prepare for a potential Resident Advisor (RA) role. While you won’t take on RA responsibilities, completing the training below will help you build confidence, gain valuable knowledge, and stand out as a strong candidate when opportunities arise.
We strongly encourage you to take full advantage of these resources—not only to prepare for a possible RA position, but to enhance your personal and professional development.
You’re also encouraged to get involved in your community by volunteering with your Hall’s Orientation Team, Hall Society, or as an Open Day Ambassador.

FLP members are invited to attend the RA Summit (24–25 November 2025). This is optional, but highly recommended to prepare for future RA opportunities.
Because it shows initiative, builds your confidence, and ensures you're ready to step into a leadership role when the time comes. Plus, you’ll gain insights and tools that are valuable far beyond your time in residence.
