All ResComm Executives are required to complete a range of training programs to equip them for the role and further develop leadership skills. These are provided free by Monash University Accommodation. Please follow the steps for training:

1.  a) Apply for a volunteer Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC) (if not already done so)

This is a mandatory requirement for all volunteers at Monash. You don't need to apply if you already have a WWCC. 

 b) Upload the application or card number here. 

2. Create a MyDevelopment profile (if not already done so)

• Go to your Student Portal > Search links > MyDevelopment > Follow the instructions.

• Once your profile has been created, wait until the following morning before enrolling in training.

3. Register for facilitated training (if not already completed)

EGBVT - Eliminating Gender-Based Violence Together (also known as BRIGHT Training) (2 hours)

4. Complete these training modules online:

• Connecting Across Cultures >select the unit from the Leap into Leadership Online dashboard> Submit a screenshot showing completion 

• Communication within Teams  (44 min)

• Data Protection and Privacy  (20 min)

• DoFoodSafely & Submit the Certificate (60 min)

• Ethics and Professional Conduct  (20 min)

• Equal Opportunity (20 min)

• Introduction to MRS Events and Policies (60 min)

• Livingworks Start - Suicide Alertness training (90 min)

• Mental Health Foundations (45 min)

• Rainbow Communities and LGBTIQA+ 101 (previously Queer 101) (25 min)

• Responding to Disclosures of Sexual Harm  (25 min)
