'I personally love and enjoy music. The process of creating Billie Eilish’s song on music lab was easy as the song’s beat was throughout the whole song. Creating music digitally is also fun because there are different types of instruments that I can use like piano, guitar and more!'
Linh the Musician
'Garage Band provides opportunities for students to create their own music without a physical instrument. The app is convenient in many ways, providing various instrument choices for students to make use of. Students explore and expand their knowledge in different areas of music through experimenting on these instruments. It engages and exposes the students to different cultures, rhythms, and tunes.'
Don the Game Developer
'It is everyone’s responsibility to keep Singapore a safe place. The game aims to educate and reiterate a few Singapore’s current safe management measures (SMMs).
At Stage 1, the player is a hidden hero (a masked-man with sniper) who issues surgical masks, from a safe distance at a building, to unwell people without masks in public.
At the end of this level, the crowd of “anti-maskers” noticed the masked-man wanted to hold him hostage. His team-mate (the spy) alerted him over smart-walkie. The player must avoid the crowd get out of the building in 1 minute to be free.
Can the masked-man make it out of the building safely?'
So this is what learning is about here! Inspired by what you see, you hope to have the opportunity to be involved in such creation of authentic work.
But surely, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Do Boonlayians get a chance to play as they learn?
