Our site is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania along the north side of the Alleghany River. The site sits on top of what once was the original Heinz Factory. Most of the factory was torn down and what is still standing is now the Heinz Loft Apartments.
Concept:
The idea behind Riverfront Serenity comes from small-town walking malls. Since our site sits on the opposite side of the city, I wanted to create an escape from the fast-paced city life. Riverfront Serenity is a pedestrian-friendly shopping district with green spaces inching into the streets. There will be large plazas where one can stop and rest while viewing the city skyline from across the river.
