To address these conditions, the design introduces vertical connections that bridge the divided landscape without disturbing the existing ground layer. A raised boardwalk and a more elevated sky bridge link the two sides of the site, creating accessibility while minimizing the need for extensive soil remediation. This approach also preserves much of the existing tree canopy and ecological integrity of the site. The sky bridge connects directly to an expansive second-floor outdoor plaza on the largest commercial building and extends to the green roofs of adjacent two story structures. Together, these elements form a continuous elevated landscape that unifies the site both spatially and socially. At the ground level, the existing stream corridor will be transformed into a restored wetland system, densely planted to support biodiversity and naturally filter on-site water.
