Unlike other subjects, Technology has numerous educational and/or practical routes for students to travel down. All pupils do a BGE course in Technology through S1 and S2, building a wide range of skills and experiences. In S3 pupils are offered the opportunity to specialise in specific subject areas within the subject. These then lead onto National 4/5, Higher and Advanced Higher Courses where available.
