Financial Literacy is a year long course that introduces the topic of personal finance, explores the evolution of the American credit industry, and highlights the importance of both knowledge and behavior when it comes to managing money. Students will also learn the importance of saving and explains the three reasons to save: emergencies, large purchases, and wealth building. This course also dives into important topics that lead to creating young adults that become financially literate; such as, debt, budgeting, investing, and business cycles.
This course follows Dave Ramsey's Foundations in Personal Finance Curriculum.
