THE ARTISTRY IN BELIEVING
THE ARTISTRY IN BELIEVING
On this week of Advent, we light the first candle on the wreath. Offering some form of guidance, its flames make themselves known in moments where the overwhelming ire of despair is present. While it shines, its warm hue gently reminds us that there will always be hope. Though wishful and without guarantee, the artistry in believing is what lifts our moods high enough to think: “It will get better.” Through courage and with God's aid, even the impossible could be achieved. All we need is just the virtue of patience and to build momentum.
The first candle sits, awaiting for a flame.
Atop of a wreath, its wick stands unclaimed.
The moment it's lit, the flare shines bright.
A guidance to those who are stuck in the night.
In moments where dread feels greater than home,
Sometimes our mind consumes us like a dome.
Though struggling and with doubts cradling our hearts,
The art of believing is what carries these shards.
The weight can be pressuring like boulders we cannot lift,
But with enough faith, even our moods might shift.
Problems are unavoidable and could haunt us for life,
So build up that courage and reach for the light.
Hope rises not from what we see,
But rather it blooms from His quite certainty.
A whisper from God echoes through the warmth,
“Turn that dream into a reality not one can thwart.”
It is existing with all the other virtues,
A friendly reminder that to wish isn't to be obtuse.
Be kind to yourself and be just as brave,
For the joy in believing is a guide to be engraved.
