RESTING IN HIS PEACE
RESTING IN HIS PEACE
True peace is found in God, flowing gentle into the heart and mind. It quiets restless thoughts and eases the burdens we carry each day. In his presence, fear softens, and the soul can fully rest, knowing it is held and protected. This peace is steady, unwavering, and available in every moment when we lean into His love. To reside in God is to discover a sanctuary where our spirit is whole, still, and deeply content.
Peace unfurls through the soul like sunlight through blinds half-drawn,
God's hands rest gently on the hollow places of our weary frame,
Filling the quiet chambers where our hidden sorrows fawn,
And in His presence, even fear succumbs to its claim.
Peace lingers in the margins between our prayers,
A gentle call from God to lay down restless care,
Leaning fully into Him, we let go of the weight we bear,
And every tremulous shadow softens in His stare.
Peace drifts along like morning radiance brushing blinds slightly cracked,
God's love warms corners where grief and doubt reside,
Turning fissured thoughts into serene rhythms tightly packed,
Until our widespread hearts find sanctuary inside.
It gathers like evening light pooling over worn edges,
God's grace seeps softly into heartbeat, sighs, and breaths,
Within His arms, the self releases anxious pledges,
And stillness tassels out, defying even fear and death.
And in the hush of night, God's quiet voice is near,
A lantern for the soul, a harbor for the heart,
Whispering that His love dissolves each lingering fear,
And in His steadfast presence, we are whole, not torn apart.
