Checking Grades in Blackboard

Instructors provide regular grade feedback to students throughout the semester. You may monitor your progress in a course through the My Grades tool in Blackboard. Always check My Grades after submitting an assessment to verify that you have sent it to your instructor for grading. If you have questions about what you see in My Grades, contact your instructor immediately!

Accessing the My Grades Tool

See our Guide to Viewing My Grades for an overview of the My Grades tool. When viewing a course, click on the My Grades tool in the course. The My Grades tool displays information about your progress in completing assessments in the course, including grade feedback, due dates, and rubrics. You may sort and organize your grades using the filtering tools at the top of the page. To view your attempt history on an assignment or test, click on the name of the assessment in the provided list.

Please note that a non-attempted, non-scored assessment that is no longer available to students based on a due date setting will not appear on the My Grades page until the instructor assigns a 0 grade.

Always refer to your syllabus and course schedule to make sure that you submit assessments before they are due.

Viewing Feedback

If an instructor has provided feedback comments on an assignment, click on the name of the assignment on the My Grades page to view your assignment submission. Feedback may appear as annotation on top of your work or in the feedback panel to the right of the screen. An animation of the locations where you might see comments is provided below.
