For my first final piece, I want to create a summer collection for my brief 2 project, Indigo. I plan to create some new clothing pieces. I want to create a jacket and a baseball jersey. I also want to bring back the way I used mockups for the second brief and create some more in-depth designs.
I'm also going to create a new logo specifically for this collection. Bear in mind the original logo will still be used across my pieces. Below, you can see what I have come up with:
INDIGO VARSITY JACKET - £230.00
INDIGO BASEBALL JERSEY - £110.00
Making The New Logo
To create the new logo design, I decided to draw a calligraphy style logo of the word, Indigo.
I then rotated the logo slightly and changed the colour to purple. This shade of purple is slightly more saturated compared to the original logo. I did this because I wanted to make the logo more vibrant.
Finally, I added a white outline to the logo. To do this, I used an effect called 'Stroke'. This effect adds an outline around your layer. The colour and thickness can also be changed
Jacket Proof
This is the front of the jacket. I wanted to keep it simple as i wanted the back to stand out. The base of the jacket is white. I chose the signature purple colour for the sleeves and accents. I also added the Nike and the original Indigo logo to the front
This is the back of the jacket. I created a back design with the new logo and the slogan of the brand in calligraphic writing.
Jersey Proof
This is the front of the jersey. I decided to make a dark purple jersey with the new logo across the front of the jersey, I also added the nike logo onto the top right of the jersey. This is a common practice among Nike jerseys.
The back of the jacket is quite simple. I only added the original logo behind the neck and added whit pinstripes across the jersey to add some flavour.
