So in this photoshoot, I had a friend wear my trainers so I could capture the shoes. I made him walk around the location so I could capture some authentic, candid motion. In some shots, however, I did have my friend pose just so I could produce the crispest shots.
I created a preset for this whole shoot (see bottom) so I could speed up the workflow. I eliminated most colours apart from the yellows and oranges, just so I could highlight the shoe. In some photos, I did bring back some of the colours just so I could have some more organic photos within the shoot.
I did use a variety of options and techniques such as different aperture levels, different ISO levels and many more techniques which I will reveal later on.
For this shoot, I used a Canon EOS 1300D Camera.
At first, I took a few close-up photographs while they were idle. I used a 55m lens and a very low aperture (4.5) to capture these shots. Because I was capturing the sky, I had to use a low Iso (200) so it wouldn't be too bright. I was pretty happy with how they came out as they exceeded my expectations.
I managed to come out with two decent shots portraying the back of the shoe showing the "G-TEK" technology that this shoe has.
I applied the camera raw filter preset I created for the shoot and adjusted some of the whites and blacks. I deepened the blacks which made the photo richer.
I believe these photos were the best of the batch but I wish the shoes were slightly less worn just so I could have the perfect profile for the shoes
For this photograph, I hung the shoes over a washing line to simulate the way you see shoes hung over electric lines in the USA. I did this by using a lace from each shoe and tieing them together over the washing line. I selected the Aperture priority mode on my camera and I used the same aperture (4.5) as the last two photos and the ISO was at 100. However, the shoes began to swing in the wind making it hard to get a clear shot. To fix this, I had to raise my shutter speed level (1/200).
What makes this photo different is that there's more orange and yellow values behind the subject so the photo seems to have more life. I also added a slightly warm tint to the photo. Although there was only a little different editing compared to the other photos, the light presence of the rest of the colours gives this photo a warm, autumn feel.
For these two photos, I wanted to show off the reflective accents on. the shoe. I went to a darker spot in the location and managed to capture some of the reflective capabilities this shoe can provide. The image above has a less harsh flash level while the second image has the opposite.
