BLAKE DBDS
Based in the South East of the UK, Blake is a multi-disciplined designer and photographer. He specializes in Music artwork and often photographs his clients as well. He’s produced artwork for the likes of Meek Mill, Young Dolph and many self-established artists. But his clientele doesn’t just involve musical artists. He’s also worked for the likes of fashion models and clothing brands.
Blake produces extremely high quality work and is renown for his work across the UK. He’s even obtained global recognition (especially in the USA).
Blake's work interests me because he has a variety of different themes in his work. For example, the artwork shown above follows a theme of the view through night vision goggles. Although there isn't much variety of colour in this piece, the vibrant green still portrays a clear image to the viewer. Blakes work ranges from film photos to album cover art; he uses many techniques to create different ideas.
PAVVFX
PAVVFX is a graphic designer and photographer who produces album covers and artwork for the UK music scene, similarly to BLAKE DBDS. He's worked with high profile musicians such as M Huncho, 98s, M1llionz and many underground musicians across the UK. His work consists of realistic renders of scenery (left) and collage artwork (right).
Pavv is renown for his abstract ideas, such as the heart shaped council estates. These types of compositions gave him his own style of work, semi-realistic art. He grew in the music industry as many ideas correlated towards music.
TRIKKO
Trikko is a clothing brand (est. 2016) which specializes in creating streetwear clothing. Trikko stands out to me because of the use of film in their advertisements. Although these photos in particular do not contain any additional text of the brand, it still establishes a clear perspective of the product they’re advertising. The colour grading isn’t that intense, however, and the editing process as whole isn’t as advanced as it could be. But then again, they have completed the objective.
Abi Fapohunda is a graphic designer from Maryland, USA. As a child, he was fascinated with creativity and the idea of production. Much of my early work was guided by experimentation, figuring out what works, what emotions are shared, what connects, and what sells. By the time of his second year of college, he was providing visual talents for businesses, working projects, and events. He birthed a distinct style that stimulates the eye.
Abi uses a unique technique of merging both reality and digital art in his pieces which you can see below. This made him different from all the other vector artists I'd been researching.
Illpressions is a photographer/videographer from Oxford. He's known for taking photos and videos for my client, 'Twentyfours'. He's worked on music videos and promotional advertisements.
Illpressions often follows a vintage style to his work. He often uses film to capture his work. One of his signature techniques is where he mirrors his image to create a seamless 'extension' to the photo.
