Central idea: Families can support the local community. 

This module we have been looking at our families, as we drew family portraits it was clear that there were many similarities and differences. Some families have more people, and some less. A common similarity was that we are all connected through love, kindness and care. 

Alfie: "In my house is mum, dad and Kiara." 

Betsy: "My family has more people than Alfie's." 

Dottie: "All families are unique and special." 

Samuel: "Family makes me happy and loved." 

All children then made paper doll family cutouts where they threaded string through the hearts to show the invisible string that connects them all, representing love. 

Florence: "Love is something that makes you feel happy and cared for." 

Seb: "Love is a feeling that makes you smile."  

Tabitha: "You feel love in your heart."
