Principal's Message
This week, Year 2 went to St Pauls Cathedral and Year 5 went to the British Museum. Both classes had a fantastic time and were really excited to come back to school and share their experiences. I would like to say well done to both year groups for being positive representatives of our school by demonstrating excellent behaviour during their trips.
Next week, we have more exciting events taking place with some children in Beech class attending a recorder festival, Willow class are visiting the Heritage Centre, Elm class are going to the British Museum and Acacia class has a Roman Day workshop.
Thank you to those of you who attended our information event about the school expansion and building work. We hope you found this useful and that you are as excited as we are about the benefits of this project. As the plans progress we will continue to keep you updated.

Travelling Book Fair 25th-28th March
We are running a pop-up Book Fair from 25-28th March 2024 to help raise money for books in school. Scholastic is one of the largest providers of free books to schools via our Reward scheme which helps to ensure that as many children as possible have access to books that support reading for pleasure. Every time you buy from the Book Fair, you help to make a difference by supporting literacy at Marden Primary. #ShareYourFair

For children and young people, low-quality sleep can become a serious issue. It has been theorised that poor sleep can have a significant impact on children’s brain development, affecting them for the rest of their lives. A healthy – and consistent – sleeping pattern, therefore, is incredibly important for children and young people’s wellbeing.
With the stresses and distractions that can present themselves to youngsters, it can be tricky to ensure they’re in the best mindset to wind down in the evenings for the rejuvenating rest that they need. The right approach, however, can give them a better chance of cultivating a healthy sleeping pattern. Our guide has some practical tips on helping them to achieve exactly that.
