Since the last newsletter we have had lots to celebrate: we came 5th in the LAT Sports Event, came 2nd in the LAT Kwik Cricket competition, a selection of children took part in our Rock Steady assembly performing to their families and (Y5/6) watched Mascalls' Mary Poppins production. Our children continue to represent Marden in so many different events and they do so with sportsmanship, resilience and enjoyment - we are so proud of you all.
As we move into our final week of the year, we'd like to say a huge well done to all of the children for their fantastic efforts this year. The staff have all worked so hard to make this a successful year for the children and their enjoyment in their learning is what shines through when you speak with them and look around the school. Please take time to read through the reports with your child/ren - they are on MCAS - and celebrate their achievements, look at their next steps and if you have any questions, please speak to the class teacher.
Mr Davies, our Site Manager, will sadly be retiring at the end of the summer. We would like to say a big thank you to him for all of his help and support during the time he has been here at Marden. He is going to be greatly missed by all of the children and staff.
Have a wonderful weekend and we'll see you on Monday.

We will contact you in September with further details.
Rocksteady Concert
On Wednesday, we celebrated the brilliant progress children have made in their Rocksteady bands in a special assembly to parents. The children all showed incredible courage and excellence in their musical timing and skill in working together to create a wonderful sound! Well done to all our musicians.
Super Stars
Congratulations to Archer who won Player of the Week at Football Fiver Star in Marden on Monday.
We are super proud of you!
Congratulations to George who entered a drawing into the Young Artists Monster Madness competition and has had his artwork published in a book. This is such a great achievement George!
The sharing of intimate images online can be a dangerous avenue through which abusers seek to exploit children and young people, forcibly exposing them to explicit material, coercing them into sharing self-generated intimate images, and extorting them with the threat of sharing such images more widely. From reputational impact to potential blackmail or emotional distress, and even legal consequences, exposure to this harmful behaviour can have a severe impact.
It’s important to remember that the creation and distribution of explicit material featuring under-18s – even by the child themselves – is illegal under UK law. Our guide looks at the serious concerns associated with this behaviour, and lets parents and educators know how best to address these issues and protect young people.
