World War One Bunting
The children are in high spirits as the academic year draws closer to an end. We have had lots going on in the past couple of weeks, and there are still some more events to come that will take us up to the end of term.
In our inquiry learning the children have produced some lovely pieces that reflect their new knowledge and understanding of the Great War. They have articulated their learning on our reflection site, and it really does show how far they have come. We had lots of fun on our World War One day, and we would like to give a huge thanks to our very own teaching assistant, Mr Cosgrove, who brought in some amazing, original World War One artefacts and gave the children a fascinating talk on the events of the war.
In our maths learning we have been converting kilograms and grams, kilometres and metres, and millilitres and litres. We have learnt that depending on which way round you are converting, you will multiply or divide by 1000.
The children had a lovely assembly this week, which was delivered by the staff of Marden library. They have been told about the summer reading challenge and we hope that many will get involved!
