Central idea: Access to human rights can vary across the world.
As we approach our last week at Mardel (and all the exciting things that brings), we have rounded off our inquiry by looking into how human rights are protected by continuing our focus on post-war Germany. Having explored how the Berlin wall created division (and a consequential limitation of human rights for many), we were able to fully appreciate how human rights were therefore restored by the removal of the Berlin wall in 1989. Using our research, we created our own Berlin wall graffiti art to celebrate the protection of human rights which Germans now, like us, have!
We are really looking forward to our last week with our performances and celebrations to round off what has been a fantastic year!
