Central idea: The natural world can be impacted by the human use of scientific and technological developments.

Over the last two weeks, we have begun delving into our central idea by exploring our natural world, specifically rainforests. By using research, we have identified the features of a rainforest (including its specific layers) and have been able to immerse ourselves into what life in a rainforest would be like. As an initial task, we created information pages about rainforests, which has then led us into writing descriptively about the rainforest setting. At the start of this week, we also explored the rainforest art of Henri Rousseau and were so inspired by his use of bright colours and layered textures, we created our own rainforest art using a range of artistic mediums. 

In other news, we have been excited to use our new LbQ programme to help us develop our maths and grammar knowledge, and cannot wait to use it further.
