Central idea: Natural disasters can impact living things and their environment

During this week, we have begun exploring our central idea . We have enjoyed researching natural disasters and writing a brief description of them.

For our writing we have delved into poetry. We had fun looking at repetition in poems and finding different poetic devices such as alliteration and similes.

In maths we are making arrays to help us understand multiplication.  

In science we have found out about life processes, identifying things that are living, dead and have never been alive. The children also began looking at different habitats thinking about why an animal might live there.

We thoroughly enjoyed outdoor learning, even though it was cold and damp, we had so much fun we barely noticed!
