Central idea: Roles and Responsibilities Lead to Successful Leadership.
We have moved into our second line of inquiry which is all about exploring different kinds of leadership. Through this inquiry, we have compared leadership during the Great Plague, with that of leadership during Covid. The children have thought of their own hypothesis which they are going to test with the research they are carrying out. Their hypothesis is based on a question similar to - are leaders better at dealing with pandemics now, than they were in the past? As a part of their research, they have compared the decisions made by the leaders in Germany during the pandemic, with the decisions made by the leaders of the U.K.
As we are learning about different kinds of leadership, we have also thought about people who have become leaders against climate change. The children have explored the fact that anyone can become, and should become, a leader against climate change.
We have been learning about angles in maths. We have learnt the names of angles: acute, obtuse, right angle, reflex and straight line. We have also learnt how to use a protractor to measure and draw angles.
