Central idea: Rules and Laws within a society can help shape its structure.
Our key text is The Princess & The White Bear King by Tanya Robyn Batt. The children have been writing character descriptions for their chosen character. They have used expanded noun phrases and similes to write effective descriptions.
Over the past couple of weeks, in our maths learning, we have been learning about money. We have learned about the different coins and notes, made pounds and pence, compared amounts and calculated with money. The children have worked hard and been able to apply their prior maths knowledge to help them.
Into our second inquiry, we have had a focus on art. We are thinking about digital art this term and our chosen digital artist is Mario Testino, a photographer well known for his use of tone and mood when photographing his subject. We are experimenting with our own digital art and trying to use tone and mood in order to recreate some of his work.
