2Maple    Learning Update

Central idea: Rules and Laws within a society can help shape its structure.

Over the past couple of weeks, in our maths learning, we have been learning about money. We have learned about the different coins and notes, made pounds and pence, compared amounts and calculated with money. The children have loved using the money to work out the total and make different amounts using various coins and notes. They have worked so hard and been able to apply their prior maths knowledge to help them.

In inquiry this week we are focusing on our second line of inquiry we have had a focus on art. We are thinking about digital art this term and our chosen digital artist is Mario Testino, a photographer well known for his use of tone and mood when photographing his subject. We are experimenting with our own digital art and trying to use tone and mood in order to recreate some of his work.
