4Acacia   Learning Update

Central idea: The legacies of ancient civilisations may be influenced by modern Britain.

We are now in full swing of our inquiry and are really enjoying learning about all the history of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. This week we have been creative and designed our own timelines for both the Greeks and Romans. Last week, we finished our first line of inquiry where the children produced an interview which they presented in front of the whole class about what an ancient civilisation is.

In Maths we have been looking at fractions, where we have been converting mixed numbers to improper fractions and looking ordering fractions. Going into next week we will be starting to add and subtract fractions. In reading we have started our new class read of 'Who let the Gods out'. We have found this really fun and interesting with 'Eric' being mischievous at school and having a peculiar family.

Reminder: To practise timetable everyday on TTRS and spellings on Edshed.
